When technique and style become more important than subject matter, you need to step back and try again. Never sacrifice concept and composition for technique.

This is how I felt when I once seen a photo on public display that had two paragraphs describing how it was made. The part that broke me was when it gave the focal length, followed by the 35mm equivalent in parenthesis.

Why would a non-photographer need to know that?
